Day-wise Itinerary of the Tour

Day-1  Delhi – Srinagar (By Air)
Meet our representative at Indira Gandhi International Airport & get transfers to Domestic airport to board onward flight to Srinagar. Meet & greet by our local representative at Srinagar airport and transfer to Deluxe Houseboat. Afternoon free for personal activities. Evening shikara ride on Dal Lake to enjoy the sunset on the Lake. Dinner & overnight stay in Houseboat.

Day -2 Srinagar  Local Sightseeing (50 km)
After breakfast, proceed for half-day tour of world famous Mughal Gardens. Also visit Nishat Bagh (The garden of pleasure) built by Asaf Jah in 1636 and Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love) built by Jehangir for his beloved Nur Jahan in 1619 AD. Afternoon Shikara ride on Dal Lake to enjoy the beauty that God has graced this city which is often compared to Venice. You will get a view of some very interesting places around the Lake. Dinner & overnight stay in Houseboat.

Day -3 Srinagar – Kargil (205 Km)
After breakfast, drive to Kargil. Road passes through the panoramic village drive towards Drass (the second coldest inhabited place in the world) stop here for tea and passport check. Continue drive to Kargil (2710 Mtrs) which has got its importance after opening of Ladakh for tourists in 1974. Overnight in Kargil.

Day-4 Kargil – Leh (235 km )
After breakfast drive to Leh. Today we have to ascend three passes. This day will be tiresome but panoramic too. First Buddhist village will be Mulbek. We have to cross the highest pass (Fotula 13749 ft.) on Srinagar Leh route. At lunch time we will be at Lamayuru-oldest Monastery. Continue drive to  next village, Nimu, with a view of Zanskar river following into Indus. Finally we reach Leh at 3500 Mtrs. Dinner & overnight at Hotel.

Day-5 Leh  (Roof of the world)
After breakfast, day is free for personal activities / Leisure. Afternoon half day tour of Phyang, Spituk and Shanker Gompa. Dinner & overnight  at  Hotel.

Day-6 Leh  (Ladakh)
After breakfast proceed for full day excursion to Thiksey monastery . Good to visit early in the morning to see  sunrise and praying ceremony and visit Hemis monastery  which is one of the biggest and most popular monasteries of the region. On the way back visit Shey Palace. Dinner & overnight  in Leh.

Day-7 Leh (Ladakh)
Enjoy breakfast and proceed for half day tour of Stok Palace/Museum and on the way back visit Tibetan Refugee Camp at Choglamsar. In the Afternoon visit King's Palace and Tsemo Gompa which commands one of the most magnificient views of the Leh town. Dinner & overnight in Leh.

Day-8 Leh - Delhi
Transfer to the airport to board onward destination flight.
