India, often called the 'Dev Bhumi' or the abode of the gods, every inch of this land is heavily steeped in mythology and every glade has its own legend. India is covered with holy sites associated with the exploits of the gods, the waters of sacred rivers or the presence of holy men.   • Vaishno Devi
    Since times immemorial, lakhs of pilgrims every year have been visiting the holy shrine of Vaishno Devi from all corners of the globe. Considered to be one of the holiest Hindu shrines in North India, the cave is the abode of the Mother Goddess, who is worshipped here in the forms of Maha Kali, Maha Saraswati, and Maha Lakshmi.   • Char Dham
    Nestling in the lofty peaks are the four most holy pilgrimages of India -Yamunotri, Gangotri, Sri Kedarnathji and Sri Badrinathji, collectively referred to as the Char Dham ( or four pilgrimage centres) of Hinduism. For centuries, saints and pilgrims, in their search for the divine, have walked these mystical vales known in ancient Hindu scriptures as 'Kedarkhand'.
  • Kailash Mansarovar Yatra
    For the Hindus Mount Kailash is the earthly manifestation of Mt. Meru, their spritual centre of the universe, described as a world pillar 84,000 miles high, around which all else revolves, its roots in the lowest hell and its summit kissing the heavens. On the top lives their most revered God, Shiva, and his consort Parvati.
  • Golden Temple
    The Golden Temple is located in the holy city of the Sikhs, Amritsar, once the dense forest home of Guru Nanak. Famous for its full golden dome, Golden temple is one of the most sacred pilgrim spots for Sikhs. The Temple is built on a 67 ft square of marble and is a two storeyed structure. Maharaja Ranjit Singh had the upper half of the building built with approximately 400 kg of gold-leaf.
  • Mathura & Vrindavan
    Being the birth place of Lord Krishna, Mathura is one of the most sacred destinations of India.Studded with number of ancient and modern temples, Mathura is the abode of God and divinity. Hinduism find here a new dimension which is the colour of love with which Lord Krishna wanted to bind this entire world. The mild sound of devotees taking the hundred and eight names of Lord Krishna all day long covers the entire ambience of Mathura. The immense belief of the pilgrims coming here from different parts of the world is something that give Mathura a well deserved wight and importance in the itinerary of Indian pilgrimages.
  • Buddhist Pilgrimage
    There are many sacred sites in India that have special significance for the followers of Buddhism. Devotees from all over the world travel to these sacred destinations to walk in the footsteps of the Buddha. Sites where Buddha lived, preached his first sermon and left his spiritual wisdom for his devotees are living shrines of Buddhism today. There are three principal Buddhist pilgrimage sites where most of the buddhist temples and shrines are located. The most important of these are located primarily in the Ganges Valley of India.
