Day-wise Itinerary of the Tour


Day 1 : Arrive Delhi

Meeting and assistance on arrival. Transfer to hotel.

Day 2 : Delhi

Morning tour of Delhi visiting Raj Ghat and Shanti Vana - the cremation sites of Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru, Jama Masjid and drive past Red Fort and Chandni Chowk. Afternoon visit Qutub Minar built by Qutub-ud-Din Aibek in 1199, Humayun's Tomb, India Gate (War Memorial Arch ), Lakshminarayan Temple - a modern Hindu Temple. Also drive past President's House, Parliament House, Government Secretariat Buildings and Connaught Place shopping centre. Overnight Delhi.

Day 3 : Delhi - Jaipur (206 kms - 4 hrs)

Morning drive to Jaipur. On arrival check in at hotel. Afternoon free.

Day 4 : Jaipur

Morning visit Amber Fort. Amber Fort was the ancient capital of the State. Visit the Sheesh Mahal or the Hall of Victory glittering with mirrors.

Afternoon tour of Jaipur. Jaipur - the capital of Rajasthan was given a colour coat of pink a century ago in honour of a visiting Prince and ever since, it has retained this colour. Built by Maharaja Jai Singh, the notable astronomer, this city is 260 years old. Visit Maharaja's City Palace, the Observatory & Ram Niwas Gardens. Drive past Hawa Mahal & through the pink rose residential & business areas. Overnight Jaipur.

Day 5 : Jaipur - Agra (256 kms - 5/6 hrs)

Drive to Agra enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri enroute. Fatehpur Sikri is 40 kms from Agra and built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned after 15 years due to scarcity of water. See the graceful buildings including the Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chisti, Panch Mahal and other Palaces. Overnight Agra.

Day 6 : Agra - Delhi (203 kms - 3 hrs)

Morning visit the world famous Taj Mahal built by the Moghul Emperor Shahjehan in 1630 for his Queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. Later visit the Agra Fort containing the Pearl Mosque, the Halls of Public and Private Audience. Also visit the Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daullah built by Empress Noorjehan in memory of her father. Afternoon drive to Delhi. Reaches Delhi at Evening time and Overnight stay in Delhi.

Kerala Tour

The land of green magic, is a narrow, fertile strip on the south-west coast of india, sandwiched between the Lakshadweep Sea and the Western Ghats. The landscape is dominated by rice fields, mango and cashewnut trees and, above all, coconut palms. The Western Ghats, with their dense tropical forests, misty peaks, extensive ridges and ravines, have sheltered kerala from mainland invaders and encouraged maritime contact with the ourside world. People have been sailing to kerala in search of spices, sandalwood and ivory for at least 2000 years.

Day 7 : Delhi Trivandrum - Kovalam

After Breakfast transfer to Domestic Airport to Catch the Flight for Trivandrum. Assistance on Arrival at Trivandrum Air Port/ Rly Stn. Transfer to Kovalam (13 km). Check in at hotel and the day is at leisure O/N stay at Hotel.

Day 8 : Kovalam

The day is at leisure to explore the famous and elegant sea shore with its natural beauty. Enjoy the water sports and other activities. (an optional day tour to Kanya kumari which is a 3 hrs drive from Kovalam). O/N stay at Hotel.

Day 9 : Kovalam - Kumarakom

In the morning proceed to Kumarkom (120 km). On arrival check in at Hotel. Afternoon visit the Bird Sanctuary, in the evening take an optional sun-set cruise at Vembanad Lake. O/N stay at Hotel.

Day 10 : Kumarakom - Alleppey

In the morning proceed to Alleppey (70 km) commonly known as Venice of the East.On arrival check in at Hotel. Evening free (optional boat cruise in the backwater). O/N at Hotel.

Day 11 : Alleppey - Thekkady

In the morning proceed to Thekkady (3 hrs). On arrival check in at Hotel. The day is at leisure to go around and visit some spice gardens. O/N stay at Hotel.

Day 12 : Thekkady

In the morning proceed to visit Periyar wild life sanctuary to explore rare spices of birds and animals amdst lush green forest surrounded by the biggest rain water lake. O/N stay at Hotel.

Day 13 : Thekkady - Munnar

In the morning proceed to Munnar (enroute visit Mattupetty dairy farm and Idukki Dam, enjoy the boating, take the heavenly fragrance of fresh tea wafting out of the innumerable tea processing plants). On arrival check in at Hotel. In the afternoon proceed for a city tour of Munnar. O/N stay at hotel.

Day 14 : Munnar

In the morning visit the beautiful Tea Gardens. O/N stay at Hotel.

Day 15 : Munnar - Cochin

In the morning proceed to Cochin (4hrs drive). On arrival check in at Hotel. Afternoon visit the ancient buildings and Chinese Fishing Nets. In the evening optional visit to watch Kathakali Show (a traditional dance form of Kerala). O/N stay at Hotel.

Day 16 : Cochin / Onward Destinations

Check out and transfer to Cochin Airport/Railway Station.
